St. Joseph School is proud to be participating Heart & Stroke’s Jump Rope for Heart on March 9th - 11th
Our fundraising campaign starts today and we need your help to reach our goal of $1,000!
Visit our school’s page to get started!

Did you know that sales from our book fair raise funds to support our library and library programs like Battle of the Books and the Summer Reading Challenge?
We can receive up to 50% back in product rewards or up to 25% in cash. At previous book fairs we have sold over $6,000 in books and met this goal.
What does Book Fair Week look like?
Students will be previewing the book fair on Monday, February 23rd and the morning of Tuesday, February 24th and bringing home their wish lists.
Books will be available for purchase Tues., Wed., and Thurs. (Feb. 24 - 26). On these days students will be able to make purchases when they visit the book fair with their class (teachers will send home the date that their class will be attending).
All monies sent with students should be clearly labelled with students name and homeroom.

In this time of sorrow, we hold those who grieve in our prayers. We ask the Lord to draw near, to strengthen families, to guide community leaders with wisdom, and to bring comfort to all who mourn. May God grant peace in the days ahead.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted.”
— Psalm 34:18

As we light all four candles, we focus on the greatest gift - love.
Love shows up in our actions:
💜 Being patient
💜 Saying sorry
💜 Forgiving quickly
💜 Choosing kindness even when it’s hard
God’s love came to us in the simplest way - a tiny baby born in a manger.
This week, as we prepare for Christmas, let’s look for ways to show love in our school, our families and our community.

Wear Red, Green or a Christmas Sweater!

Each class will have their own time slot to shop and will be assisted by the Grade 6 helpers. Items will be priced at $1, $2 and $5. The Grade 6 students will also have a bake sale and a raffle!
Parents are welcome to shop between the times of 1:40-2:00pm.
All funds raised at the Green Sale will be donated to charity!
Thank you in advance for your support of this exciting annual event!

Today is Gaudete Sunday - “Gaudete” means “Rejoice!”
We light the pink candle to remind us that joy is not about being perfect or having a perfect day. Joy is noticing the good that is already here.
This week, let’s look for joy in:
🩷 Laughter with friends
🩷 Helping someone feel included
🩷 The beauty of music and prayer
🩷 The excitement of preparing for Christmas
May this candle remind us that joy grows when we share it.
